  1. Nike’s ad “Dream Crazier”
  2. Women’s roles in the workplace
  3. Gender stereotype by people in society toward men and women

As the ad named “Dream Crazier” was launched by Nike, people become more aware about the situation and stance of women in the workplace.

So, let’s see what it is!

Women and men probably have been judged and perceived differently by people in society for so long and long ago. This issue seems to be more outstanding nowadays as everything has changed and women have more opportunities to do diverse things. Therefore, those traditional perceptions toward women and men, which haven’t ever changed, become more obvious in the present days!

This is what we call “Gender Stereotype”.

In the workplace, women who express their emotion will be blamed as being dramatic, nonsense, hysterical, disrespectful, and even aggressive. Anyway, for men in the similar situation, they will be looked as being outspoken, brave, and passionate.

For example, we can see the outstanding case from sports like the argument between Serena Williams, a famous tennis player, and Carlos Ramos, an umpire, as she called him ‘thief’. At that time, Serena Williams was fined 17,000 dollars.

Because of this case and all other several similar cases, Nike’s ad becomes more and more interesting.

So, let’s take a look and tell us what you think about it. You may agree or disagree, that’s your choice!
